With the new, larger throttle bodies coming out, I'm sure a few of you would like a better idea of how to swap out your stock unit. It's a fairly simple procedure, and shouldn't take you more than an hour, tops.

First, remove the stock airbox, if you haven't already done so. As I did this quite some time ago, I won't go into it here.
You should see something like this:

I suppose I should mention that before you begin, have one of these on hand:

Ok, next step is to unplug the two sensors on the throttle body, then remove the inlet hose. Using an 8mm socket, loosen up the clamp holding it to the throttle body:

Next, remove the two bolts holding the throttle body to the manifold. Due to the angle, I don't have a picture of this, but you can't miss them. They go through two holes in the TB and screw straight into the manifold. You'll need a 10mm socket for this step.

After you have those out, you can more easily get to the throttle cable. Remove the cable from the throttle wheel, and then using a 10mm socket again, remove these two bolts:

You can now remove the TB, being sure to remove the little paper gasket as well. You don't necessarily need to replace the gasket, but they're dirt cheap, so why not?

Ok, time for a comparison:

The new inlet is 60mm:

The outlet is about 54.3mm by my measurements:

Now you need to swap the two sensors over to your new TB. You'll need a torx bit to do so, but other than that it's just removing 3 bolts, pull out the 2 sensors, and move them over and reattach:

Now you can put it back together again! Follow the directions in reverse, and don't forget to put your gasket in! The bracket looks a little different attached to your new TB:

Also, you'll most likely have new bolts to replace the old ones holding your TB to the manifold. Mine required the use of an allan wrench to tighten down.
Remember to put your hose on, plug in your sensors....

and you're done!

Go play with your new toy! Remember, the throttle pedal will feel different, and be more responsive, so take it easy until you're used to it

Don't forget that the unplugging of senors from the TB can be tricky, if you are not familiar with the different locking tabs that need to be pushed or pulled (I don't remember) before they can be unpluged.
Also, on my 03 they must have used some hell strong locktite on the 10mm bolts that remove the TB from the manifold. They were a bitch to get off, you may want to make sure you use a six point socket for those.

Might want to try and redo these with the pictures.

It's on my to-do list.
