I recommend that everyone has atleast one anti-virus and one anti-spy/adware program. I used to use AVG antivirus before I got my 64 bit system and I loved it. Now I have Avast and it seems to work fine as well. I use Spybot S&D for ad/spyware and I have never had a problem.

I currently have Mcafee anti virus and does the other anti virus probrams like avast work good with it or will they not play nice with each other. I'd like to have 2 anti-virus programs on my PC but I want them to work nice together.


Also my I tried to d/l a movie of of Limewire which ive always had success with. But this one moive wont open and when I try to delete it I get an error saying its running through something else and I cant delete it by right clicking on it to select delete. When I get back im going to go into the main memory core and try to delete it there.....if it doesnt work any ideas?

yes it does work good(advast)
as far as the limewire,make sure someone isnt in the process of downloading it.
if they are,cancel them and delete it.

Well im pretty sure it wasnt being used when I wanted to delete it normally. If I have to i'll try to delete from the memory core the main way.

I just downloaded Avast. I never use antiviruses but I was having problems and figured I'd check. Ended up being totally clean and it was just a bad power supply. But I still have it running.

I use Winrar (http://www.download.com/3000-2250-10007677.html) alot to compress and decompress.
Also I like Db Power Amp. (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/) Great for converting music from mp3 to wav or ripping up cds, many options on quality settings, and best it's just a right click away. Right click and it's in the drop down menu.
Trillian (http://www.download.com/Trillian/3000-2150_4-10367846.html?tag=lst-0-1) is also a great option to have instead of having 2 or 3 messengers open all the time.

I really dig DVD Shrink. If you have Nero, it's one step ripping/burning. Fits a whole movie onto one disc.

I use DVD shrink and DVD Decryptor. I think they took one of them off the internet due to legal issues. Both work great.
