My girlfriend got me Hotchkiss spring for christmas, and last night me and my buddy lowered the rear at work. These springs are awesome!!! They are a lot stiffer than the stockers, the car doesn't slam back when I tried launching it quickly last night, and best of all is with just the rears on ( ran out of time at the shop) they still ride good! I give them 5 stars and I will post back when I get the fronts on!

Congrats! Heard a lot of nice things about those springs. Take pics and post them when you have the full set-up on the car.

Are you using the stock bump stops or the Hotchkiss ones? I remember there being a problem concerning them when they first came out. We had them on our car back in September 04 to March'05 when we got IPP 36 way Adj. Coil Overs.
They do make the car look badass, I liked the way it looked.
Hope you guys are buying struts with aftermarket springs or you will be sorry.

i have heard that before...why is that?...im about to buy my springs and i want to make sure i dont screw my car and how it rides...and is it rue the only spring you should put on the stock struts are the mopar springs?

Correct. At the 2005 Nationals this was discussed with the SRT engineers and they said Mopar Springs have the same spring rate as the stock springs therefore your struts won't be affected and you'd still have a drop.

I used the stock ones and the car rides just like stock, if not a little better. Those pics are up on cardomain on page 7 check it out. They will prob. get a little lower once the settle in a bit, but I'm really happy with them.

you can put any aftermarket spring on the stock struts... HOWEVER, you run the risk of blowing them out SOONER (struts WILL blow eventually) some people run aftermarket struts and haven't had a problem yet, and some blow 3 struts in 2 days. i say put them on, and be happy with them. when they blow (wether its 2 days, or 5 years) replace them with the illuminas, and that is a damn good suspension set up for daily driving. i really like the hotchkis TVS kit (sways and springs) with the illuminas, if i didn't go with tein coilovers, i would have done that set up without a doubt

The thing is... if you don't have the tools to install your own springs and struts... You are going to end up paying extra laborto install struts at a later time. You save money in labor by having new struts and new springs installed at the same time.
Why be a dumbass and wait for your struts to blow? Be safe and smart and save your money and do it the CORRECT WAY.

I just read that the hotchkis springs are the same rate as the mopar's. Is this true?

I really don't know what the mopar's rate is, but the Hotchkis are...
Drop:
Front 15/16" (24mm)
Rear 1 3/4" (44mm)
Rates:
