STREET LEGAL RACES – DAYTIME RACE

WHO: Street Legal racers, spectators and media

WHAT: Racing for all street legal cars. Cars must be registered and insured for the street and must have proof as such. All cars must have mufflers.

WHEN: Saturday, January 14, 2006

WHERE: California Speedway, 9300 Cherry Avenue, Fontana
The quarter-mile California Dragway is located in Parking Lot 1 behind the speedway’s main grandstands.

TIME: Gates open at 7 am. Tickets go on sale 8:00 am. Tech inspection begins at 8:00 am. Racing begins at 9:00 am. (All times are subject to change) ARRIVE EARLY – 1st 400 CARS ONLY.

COST: General admission tickets are $10 per person. Children 12 and under are free. Racers- $20

NOTES: All racers must be at least 16 and have a valid driver’s license. Anyone 16 & 17 years of age must have parental (both parents) permission to race. Those forms are available at the Speedway office. If the parents are not present, the original form must be notarized. Cars are limited to 10 second, all faster may not race at this event.

i may go since there is gonna be guys from school going and the school is gonna give out hot dogs to uti students...yaaaayyyy! plus there is pool going to see who can guess one guy's 1/4 mile time in his eg6 hatch.

I'm bringing the minivan out again and there should be a few of us older turbo/Shelby Dodge's out this weekend.

A bigger front mount Supra MKIII intercooler is going on the van in the next couple days (replacing the smaller Chrysler IC that is currently sitting on top of the transmission and held in place by the intercooler hoses). I'm also fixing the leaking BOV and will throw together a dual-stage MBC to get a little better traction. That and maybe an extra pound or two of boost. Something in the high 14's and I'll be happy.

By the time they re-open again I should have a couple other cars ready for track season.
