Broke one of the bolts on the cap for the upper motor mount. I haven't had much chance to look at it yet, but has anybody else had this problem? Any reccomendations for how I should deal with it. Looks like it might be a bitch to fix...

Get a higher grade bolt (Performance Autowerks?)
You may have to drill out the existing bolt. Yes, I have seen one snap on an 04 with dogbone mounts.

Did you break it in the motor or the chassis.

I did the same damn thing the other day putting my prothane mounts into my dad's '03. Torqued the tip of the bolt off in the bracket on the engine.
Had to use a hammer and flat head screwdriver to knock the peices loose. It sucked.

It's such a pain in the ass. I don't even know how it happened, there are 2 bolts right next to each other and only one snapped. I wonder how long it was broken before I finnally found it. :owned:

alright this is not that bad...take the other bolt out and remove the mm you should have a piece of the bolt still sticking out see if you can get some needle nose vise grips on the stub and it should twist right out ..without the head of the bolt there is no tension on the threads ..if there is enough sticking out you can probablly even twist it out with your hand:thumb:

I'll take a look, but I'm pretty sure nothing remains sticking out.
