Whats the deal?

Ive been a MAC user all my life and just recently got a laptop. ive always wondered whats the deal with firefox, mozilla?

what does firefox do that internet explorer doesnt? where can i get it, why is it worth it? any other programs you can recommend?

firefox is open source, based off of netscape. i has some nice features like "tabbed browsing," meaning it has 1 window open, but separate tabs for differnt sites, and it has a lot less pop ups and spyware stuff. some sites are only compatible with IE though, so I keep IE around for those few sites

and you can get firefox at mozilla.com i think it is. jsut do a google search for firefox. its worth it 100% because its free :lol:

I downloaded it and tried it out a while ago. It didnt really seem to be any better than IE, so I just stuck with IE.

i like it. its easier to use and the extensions rock. it looks better having only 1 window open at work than my usual 12
