Hi all,

Im in a quandry over what to do with my suspension. It seems that over the last 20,000 miles, the S1 springs I have in there have seemed to lose their "effectiveness". It seems that on launches I get a LOT of lift compared to when I first installed them, and I seem to get a lot more body roll then I recall when they were first installed.

Granted, I moved up from S1/I/E to S2 w/ toys/I/E/Cams/Gears which might explain the amount of "rock" i get on launches, but the body roll in corners just seems more then when I first got them.

I have about 45k on my car now, with the springs installed around 18k. I did a lot of commuting up and down broad street in philly, so they definately got a workout (you philly people know what im talkin about). I took it to two different dealers to try and get them to change the struts under warranty, and both of them said the struts were fine. I suspect its BS, so Im looking at options.

If I order ASAP, I can get the mopar s3 kit for a little over 1000.00. That is the ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM i could even THINK about spending (and I really shouldnt but this lack of handling is pissing me off). In addition to a bushing change, are there any suspension alternatives to S3 under 1000? If so, can you provide links where you bought your kit from? Ive seen a bunch of names but Im having trouble finding kits from my usual vendor webpages.

Thanks in advance.

IPP's are cheaper, but the mopars are the best

teins are awesome, but ride quality isn't as good

mopar 2's ride almost like stock

never felt mopar 3's but hear only good things

if you can get them for 1k, you'll LOVE Them...

then save, and later on, get some sways. sways make a bigger difference on roll than coilovers

OR, the pwerks chassis brace will take care of a good deal of both

Bushings and the poor man swaybar upgrade The bushings will increase the spring rate, but are a PITA to install

if you can't do them on your own, you're looking at like $800 in labor :yikes:

Forgot to ask, you have motor and tranny mounts?

the solid tranny mount I got is >* No more hop, and less bucking

the filled mounts seem to do a good job. All I get is spin when I dont get traction. No hop at all anymore.
