I'm getting the CEL beep but no actual CEL. It only happens when I accelerate from a stop. I'm thinking this problem is associated with low brake fluid, but I was hoping someone could confirm this. Thanks. :thumb:



As a side note, I think it would be a good idea as common problems crop up to post about them even if you understand what's wrong. This will increase the amount of knowledge available to those new to the site and the car.

Yep, its from your pads wearing down and the brake fluid getting lower in the cylinder. I wouldnt reccomend filling it up ALL the way because when you replace your pads the fluid will overflow. Just throw a little bit in there and you should be fine. It happened to me and now im still on stock brakes and I have 65,xxx miles.

you must not do alot of hard braking or racing....

That beep comes on for different reasons: CEL , brake fluid, doors being open, seat belt, evo's pulling up on the side...

wow 65k miles. im on 23k miles and i was thinking about replacing my brakes come spring time just as a precaution. maybe ill wait a little longer cause they actually dont look too bad.

brake fluid low,just top if off,just a hair.or replace the brake pads.

wow 65k miles. im on 23k miles and i was thinking about replacing my brakes come spring time just as a precaution. maybe ill wait a little longer cause they actually dont look too bad.I think I might actually replace my pads this weekend since winter is here, there not bad at all, but just to be safe.
