You're assuming the Bungles don't end it first.

You guys might want Ben to sit this one out too. Wouldn't want the little fella to get hurt.

he probably will end up sitting out this week so hes 100 percent when he whoops on indy's ass. and he shows up peyton.

I don't mind him showing up Peyton. In the 4th quarter when the games out of reach. At that point he'll be competing more with Jim Sorgi then Manning anyway. Anybody wanna take bets on when they pull Manning to rest him up for the Titans?

drizze99

I have faith in the Colts to dispose of the Bungles this weekend. Every "tough" opponent they have faced this year, they have come up short.

Harrison and Wayne do not scare me this year cause we have Ike & Deshea and those fuckers can run with anyone in the NFL. The only guy that scares me is Clark. The Stillers always seem to forget that other teams actually USE a TE, LOL. We did a good job shutting down Gates though with the crazy samoan!

neonsohc
11-16-2005, 09:43 AM
we also bryant mcfadden. he is one fast motherfucker. and youre right with troy he can cover anyone and he will do it well. so the weapons the colts have are not a worry. the thing that worries me is our 3rd down defense. it hasnt been strong all year long.

Yeah, he's a really good player. I'm kind of hoping Bob Sanders develops into a player like him. Sanders isn't quite as big, but he has 4.3-4.4 speed and hits like a truck. You guys may pick up some yards between the 20's, but this isn't the soft Colts defense you guys are used to just grinding out with the run.

This game presents so many good matchups it sucks that we'll have to wait a week and a half to see it. :thumb:

it will be an excellent game.

New England tried, though they seem to be a shadow of what they once were. Teams have been dropping 8 into coverage and letting the Colts destroy them with the running game. I'm curious to see what angle the Steelers try. If they're smart they'll put 8 in the box and let Manning get his yardage through the air. The Colts are far more dangerous when they're allowed to control the clock on the ground.

And lets not forget this is the Colts O-line you're facing here. They provide some of the greatest pass protection in the league and they are much improved in the running game this year. Both teams have dominating lines.

neonsohc
11-16-2005, 10:02 AM
the steelers will go at this game witht heir normal style. they will blitz with many people and often. they never setup 8 in the box or 8 back. they never work like that. thats part of their scheme. it confuses offenses. they will shut down edgerrin just like have with the past 21 backs they have faced.

if peyton can throw accurately all game and not make mistakes the steelers secondary will get exploited. but i think witht he pressure the steelers bring it was mess up peytons rhythym.

also the o-line can only stop say many people. when you bring 6 guys and you have 5 blocking who is getting that 6th guy. if troy is that 6th guy coming after peyton he is a sneaky little bastard.

Yes, teams have really been playing pass heavy D vs. the Colts this year and I'm loving it because Edge is my RB in both of my fantasy leagues I'm in.

The Stillers will offer a bend but don't break D vs. the Colts. You will get your yards between the 20's but then they tighten up and force TO's or FG's. It will be interesting to see if the Colts will be able to handle our blitz packages. Troy P. lines up everywhere and always offers confussion to opposing QB's. Manning can and will be rattled. Lets not forget that the Stillers have NOT given up 100yds rushing to a single runner in 20 games now!

Well, it looks like both teams will be trying to end a streak in this one. :tongue3:

The Colts have always been adept at dealing with the blitz, it's teams that used max cover schemes effectively (like the Patsies) that rattled him in the past. There's nothing Manning likes better then the blitz, it tells him somebody is open. ;)

nobody is greater than tagliabue.

i dont think peyton will be too happy about blitzed when palomalu will be putting him on the ground.

hell last week against cleveland dilfer looked like he was going to cry when troy hit him. everytime troy hit him he got up mad looking for a flag making up any excuse so he wouldt get hurt. it was comical. and dilfer is a bigger guy than peyton is. so jus tthink about that one there for a moment.

freeney and mathis wont make it past the o-line. did yu see what the pats did with them. shut them out of the game. and the steelers o-line is much better than what the pats have put together.

And the Colts D-line is much better then the pats, at least when rushing the passer.

Also I'd just like to point out that the Patsies beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh. We blew them out in New England. As good as the Steelers are, plan on being the underdog in Indy.

Simmons hasn't been the same since being diagnosed with diabetis (sp?)

Pittsburgh is a fun place to watch a game. I remember being at 3 river in the 95 season for the Colts/Steelers game and it being one of the better games I've ever seen live. That place was shaking so hard; seeing it on TV really couldn't do the it justice. Plus it was fun trading jabs with Steelers fans live and in person. Sucks that we lost though.
