i was talking to a buddy of mine last night that just got a big turbo set up (42x whp:ftard: ) he said him and a few others are going to the track so i'm tagging along. my car is tuned(i think) and i'm gonna hope i can hit low 13s on street tires. any predictions? personal best is 13.4.

mods are
stage1, 3" turbo back, return line, wga (20 drop to 15), k&n filter, boost leaks :lol: .


tonight i might set the wga to spike to 22, and i need to try and get a compressor to do a boost leak test, and also check my plug gaps. any thing else i should check?

put some race gas in it for the track too :thumb:

if you're gap and leaks all check out, you should do pretty well...

although, on street tires, the more power you make, the harder it is to get good ET's.

vp109 is the highest unleaded gas you can get... you shouldn't need anything more than a total of 100 octane in the tank. to figure out your actual octane do this...

Po= pump gas octane
Ro= race gas octane
Gp= pump gas gallons
Gr= race gas gallons
Tg= total gallons

Gp*Po=Xp
Gr*Ro=Xr

(Xp+Xr)/Tg= actual octane

example

4 gallons 91 octane
4 gallons 109 octane
4*91= 364
4*109= 436
(364+436)/8= 100 octane

I've got 225's as well and my best short time is 2.1 and unfortunately it came at a track that is only 1/8th mile. All the 1/4 tracks I can only muster a 2.3. :rofl: Needless to say I don't race on street tires very often.

my best 60's on 225's is a 2.2 on a 1/8 mile :lol: my car is allergic to tracks and dynos though :ftard:

best 60' on street tires was 2.0 but thats cuz it was super hot out. car ran like ass. 2.0 60' and only a 13.6 the 13.4 was on a low 2.1.
