alright, running off of just the wastegate, i get 15 psi, if i turn on the avc-r, set to a duty cycle of 20 and a max boost of 1.15 kpa (about 17 psi) it spikes to 26 psi, and i let off the gas. this is with a 50 trim, btw. i'm just running the wastegate for now, with the ebc off. anyone an avc-r pro?

Do you have the vacuum line on the nc or no? and is it on the top of the wastegate or bottom?

the nc is going to the top port on the wastegate, that's the one the boost controller is on.

Do you have a line going from the compressor housing to the BOTTOM of the wastegate?

yep, with nothing on it.

Check and make sure your start duty is 0% in all gears.

start duty is 0% all gears. frank thinks it might be a faulty solenoid, gets stuck open or some shit.

The vacuum line has to go to the nc, then from the com to the wastegate. If its backwards you will get mad overboost. check that.

did i mention it's a 50 trim? i checked with frank about the vac lines, he says that i've got it hooked up right, so i think i'm just gonna wait on the new solenoid. i thought about hooking it up the same as i had it stock, to the front port and the left port on the solenoid, but i'm not entirely sure what that'll do, so i think i may just wait on the new solenoid.

Did you check to make sure they weren't backwards? If the boost is going to the com and not from the com it WILL overboost. It goes compressor housing - nc - com - wastegate.

there are 2 ports on my wastegate. the compressor housing goes to the bottom port, then a boost source (i used the brake booster line) to the bc to the top port. i've quadruple checked the setup. it only overboosts when the bc is on.

But which port is going to the wastegate? nc or com?

i'm pretty sure it's the nc port. the port on the left side of the solenoid comes from the brake booster line, i'm fairly confident it's the com port, and the port on the right side is the nc. the NO port faces forward.
