Estimating 550-600 hp. Everyday I am seeing news of new cars coming out and the stock hp number just keeps getting higher. How long will it be until we have cars coming out of the factory at 1000 hp? Other than bugatti...

"Spy photographer Chris Doane caught the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V in testing late Wednesday. So far, we've seen several shots of "ordinary" 2017 CTS test cars. These are the first images to date of the high-performance V-series variant. The prototype has a huge bubble in the hood, performance wheels, wide tires, unique (larger) exhaust pipes and — our photographer swears — an obvious "supercharger sound."

According to spy Brenda Priddy, one of the most dependable sources claims the CTS V Series will be powered by a 4.6-liter non-supercharged V8, while others insist — as the photos seem to show — a supercharged V8 is in store for the hot CTS. Some sources even claim this car will share the "Blue Devil" Stingray's supercharged V8 — which could explain why these two vehicles have been spotted in the same general area.

Horsepower estimates have also been all over the board, but it's safe to assume the CTS-V will have somewhere between 550-600 hp. Production should start in the fall of 2017, according to Priddy, with an annual run of 7500 V Series units is expected."

cadillac is one of the few luxury companies that has enough sense to NOT make a wagon...

however, GM sucks ass with ideas, so a wagon is surely in the future

42k out the door as a starting point isn't too bad

True, but it's a leftover, I'd throw 38-40 at them and see what they say

35, and hope for 38

and even though it a leftover, they didn't really change anything in them

i thought MAYBE they went from the LS7 to the LS2, but they didn't

The LS7 would be an upgrade from the LS2.

Gale's secretary has one with an exhaust on it. There is something horribly wrong yet so right with a cadillac sounding that good.

Nothing wrong with a wagon. :thumb: I have been considering one but go back and forth between sedan and wagon and occasionally the convertible. And by the way the SRX essentially is a CTS wagon since they share the same platform.

When I bought my current SVT Focus it had been on the lot for well over a year in a small town in Texas. After a few calls to Ford's SVT hotline it was the only one of a handful of new SVT's left with what I wanted. Nothing like getting the car out the door for almost five grand under sticker.
