well im to the point where i want more than just fast. yeah, my srt is alot faster than an s2000 but, im not all about have a 300hp tine can anymore

dont get me wrong..i love my srt-4 but it wasnt enjoyable on the street..the vibrations and rattles and gear noise from the motor and tranny mounts drove me nuts, no traction on street tires sucks...

amen to that, it IS a neon tho :dunno:

the s2k isn't THAT slow, I've had one with just an intake (me being mostly stock) keep up quite well. You just have to know how to drive it :thumb:

congrats none the less

yeah, I'd take a 2000 over my srt now.. both have their advantages and weaknesses however 3 years ago when i got my srt, I wanted that... and as it turns out, I'm getting a jeep in a month anyways when it arrives so I'm going into a whole new category of vehicle - - oh to be rich and have as many cars as I wanted..

Either way, I'm sure you'll love the s2000, 6000K clutch dumps here you come!

yeah.they both have thier good and bad points....i will miss the power of the srt for a while..but thats really the only thing it has over the s2000 imo..

once im back from my deployement its gonna go down to florida for a 2jz swap

Good choice!

I think those cars are really good, and it would totally be on my list of cars I'd be looking to buy in the next few years. Luckily you probably don't have to deal with cold winters though.

I'd see if anyone has a removeable hard top for it. I've seen them with it before, and they look great!

Yea I would go with a hardtop no doubt, looks better also imo.

Why?.

evil_2
12-27-2006, 04:04 PM
why the 2jz? is that what you are asking?

AJ Quick

Yeah..

Why buy a car, then spend $12k changing it? Why not just buy a car you are satisfied with that is $18k+$12k? Or maybe cheaper?

its all personal preference.....i could ask the same thing about the guys that spend 12k in mods on an srt...

a 600-800whp s2000 is just something that appeals to me..
