I've only been begging for that car since the razor concept. By the time that is released, the engine on the SRT will need a full rebuild, so I can turn it into a race motor and dump it in the Demon, and put the new Demon motor in the SRT

supposedly it's gonna have teh world engine in it, which if the hype is anything resebmling true, it'll be a better engine platform performance wise than the current srt engine

Efficiency improvements? Probably.

Better reliability/strength? To be seen.

Stock, yeah. But it won't be as overbuilt as the A855 was. Our engine was built kinda robust, the new one will have been raped by the bean counters. Lighter, weaker, cheaper rods, pistons, etc. Think 350Z motor. It's great within it's design parameters, but once it's pushed out of them the internals are not strong enough.

Still doesn't look too bad and would be a nice competitor for GM.

good point...

although all i've read about them say that they were built with turbocharging in mind, so HOPEFULLY it will be set up well for long term reliability even turbocharged... but i do see it being "not as built" as the current srt4

Lots of engines are built with forced induction in mind. Take the LSJ S/C Ecotec in the Cobalt/Ion. Stock powder-metal forged rods. Many other cases like that. The old 2.2/2.5/2.4's leave quite a legacy that will be hard to follow.

i was referring more to block design than to the internals material

Aluminum block. Open deck design. We'll see.

Other than the rear fenders I like it. Are there any rear shots available?

Ya know, except for a couple of areas, this could be a PT vehicle. The only things that stand out as "concept car" is the door hinges.

punkrokdood

i think the front 3/4 is just fine... from the rear of the door and back, it kinda sucks... the rear itself isn't too bad, its just the transition looks like ass

punkrokdood
02-12-2017, 10:27 AM
i'd like to see it in person though... like almost all dodge vehicles, they look like ass in the internet, but not so bad in person

But where would you put the boost gauge?

They really need to build that car. If Mazda can make the Miata, Dodge can DO THIS.
