Alright so as everyone knows we had a nice winter storm go through Central PA Tuesday night and all day Wednesday. Anyways Tuesday night I ran out to get some food @ Walmart real quick. When I shut my car off no codes. I start it when I come out no later then 10 minutes and I automatically have two CEL's. I have not tried resetting my PCM yet, but will be tonight. -
P0137 - HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2 :Now from what I've heard this is an issue with the secondary O2 sensor. May just be that it's seeing colder temps then it would like or I may have ripped the wires out of the sensor due to my car being lowered. I'm really not to concerned with this CEL at this point in time.
P0522 - Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit Low Voltage : This one on the other hand is what worries me a bit. I know that I have plenty of oil in my car, and the oil light has not come on at this point in time. Currently my oil preasure light will come on when it is extremely cold off, but if I turn the car off and restart it the light will be gone. I know that this is an issue with the sensor, but could it be as simple as ice build up around the sensor causing it to have an inaccurate reading?
If anybody has any type of informative input it would be greatly appreciated.

the only thing they have in common is the fact that they both go through connector c101. honestly, they're probably two different issues, but check your wiring and connectors. You could have wiring shorted to ground that could cuase the issue. otherwise the oil pressure switch could cause your 2nd gode. The 1st code would be a downstream 02 sensor most likely IF you couldn't find a wiring issue. It's usually shorted to voltage, open, or lean if the heater in the 02 sensor goes bad. but that's not the case here. if you can get a scan tool and check the voltage, that would tell you the most.

Follow advice above and see if there's a common wiring issue. But since you have seen the oil light come on before and go away when restarting the car they probably aren't related. It seems the oil pressure switch (located on the back side of the block near the transmission end) are starting to cause problems on a lot of cars with the exact symptoms you described. If it's under warranty take it in, but if not they aren't too expensive or difficult to replace. Just to make sure there aren't any other problems with the oiling system it is good to verify what the oil pressure is doing with a manual gauge.

Thanks for the quick input guys. I'm going to see if I can track down a place to take a look at is. Wind chills of around 0 aren't helping anything. As for a gauge, that's actually going to be my next purchase now that this problem has come up.
I know it may seem silly but what are you responses on driving with the oil switch issue?

All it the bad switch is triggering is a warning that the PCM caught low oil pressure. It has no effect on how the car drives or the engine runs. The tricky part is to be sure it is just a bad switch and not an actual oiling system problem. Normally I'd be a little more concerned but this has become a very common problem as the cars are aging.
When I mentioned a mechanical gauge to check oil pressure you can install one to keep in the car full time (which is a good idea, especially if you plan to run nitrous or a big turbo ever) but I was mostly talking about a test gauge. You can take the stock sender/switch out and screw the gauge into the block and see what oil pressure is doing cold and hot and as you rev the engine.

Thanks for the help Blackbird, I'll be looking to replace the switch within the next week.
I'm considering going with a full time gauge due to where the stock sender is in the block. From what I hear it can be a PIA to get to. I will keep the tester in mind though for future use. Thanks!
I gotta say this forum is a heck of a lot more helpfully then Nazi Forums. I've been over here a lot more lately, and this place is going to be seeing more around more often

If you're swapping the switch/sender I think there are a few tee fitting you could use to install a pressure sender for another aftermarket gauge. You wouldn't even need to install the gauge right away if you didn't want to (or buy the sender now and gauge later if you buy one that doesn't come as a package). You can also install one off the end of the cylinder head but the pressure might not show changes as accurate since it would be after the stock oil restrictor that's built into the headgasket. I just wrote a few big tech posts in a thread discussing the DCR "oil modifier" over on the norcalsrt-4.com site a couple days ago and talked a little bit about this.

Wow Good info in that other forum/thread about the DCR top-end-mod and about oil flow in the head in general!
I still think someone should take the time to sticky all of blackbird’s long tech posts, as they are very useful and informative :thumb:

Most will be coming to my we site when I finally get around to putting it together. Until then get off my nuts. I'm not a vendor and I don't sell anything. j/k

Not joking. Luckily almost all my posts are typed in MS-Word first so I have some filler stuff to get me started. Just need to find time and some decent wen page software so I'm not coding HTML by hand.

when you do, i'd like to know what software you use... i have a domain, but really all i use it for is to host pictures that make fun of people on forums
i would like to make a homepage though

Umm So this would be kind of a 'Tech info in laymens terms by Blackbird about turbo dodges' web site with maybe some critical know-how about diff products? Maybe with a limited forum for people that are in the know (tech wise that is, there are not many posting on the drama forums but if it was limited I bet we'd see more,... I'm Deff not part of the any kind of group that knows anything but I would love to read/learn more from people that do)..????

It depends on if I buy a new computer or not anytime soon. My trusty 7+ year old PowerBook is still good for a lot of stuff but I've been looking at some of the Adobe Creative Suite versions that besides being $$$ take a little more processing power (and I don't want to buy the PC versions).
So for now I could either code by hand (which I haven't done a lot of manual HTML editing), use MS-Word (blah), or FrontPage (the non-conforming devil of page layout). I'm thinking about using FrontPage or Word just for a basic layout and clean it up by hand for now.
I've had my domain for a few years now and am looking at registering a couple more. I should have a wee bit of knowledge on the 16V turbo Dodge's up someday.

Along those lines. The two car sites I've always been impressed by for information have been this (http://www.thedodgegarage.com/) (check out the "Turbo Database") and this (http://www.stealth316.com/0-frames.htm) (browse through some of the sub-pages). Those are just a couple. I've already sat down and browsed all my favorite pages and made notes on things like design, layout, information, etc. that I liked and didn't like about each. My hosting plan that I have right now includes many features and I could host a limited forum but probably won't. If I ever do it will be limited to only tech and performance discussion similar to the old F.M.M.L. (at this (http://lists.topica.com/lists/fmpml/) and a lot of good information to read through if you ever get bored and want to start at the beginning). The last few days I have been trying to decide if I want to split the SRT's and the R/T's up or keep it all on one site. Too many decisions.

I personally think your plan/idea is a very, very good one and hope you end up having the time and resources to follow up on it. As far as the “forum” idea I completely agree (I think a forum would be of questionable use for that type of site and definitely a lot of added work).
I think combine R/T and SRT on the same site but in diff sections esp. since some of the more generalized topics could be useful for both sections.
I am looking forward to this because well forums are useful and can make for fun communities and a good place to “sell” they are also full of tons and tons of misinformation and even more crap! And yes they are very useful/great/good and there is some great info to be found it’s very hard to do so in many cases because of the lack of a good organization of such…how many threads are there with great info in them with the title…”please help”??.
On the other hand Tech sites are also very useful but tend to be more generalized and well…. technical. So, your idea of a mix/combo of critical technical know how put into your particular brand of layman’s terms is something that would be greatly beneficial to anyone who owns this type of car. I would worry however about the time and resources you might end up putting into it but that is your choice. :thumb:

Alright so my CEL's went away today once I started my car. PCM cleared itself after 3 clean starts. Must have been something with the snow and ice. Either way I will be keeping an eye on that sensor along with investing in an oil pressure gauge.

Have you done the key off-on-off-on to see if they're still stored? Some will go away after a certain number of restarts but still be stored. If you're thinking about taking it in for warranty then I wouldn't unplug the battery and reset it as they can still pull thme up on the DRB-III/StarScan.
