sorry I was wrong it was in Portugal. The bard was supposedly welded shut in the 70's here is a link to the pics.

Story said Portugal, not PR. Bit of a difference.

wow that's rediculas. I couldn't imagine finding something like that. Either way what turned out to be an average investment in buying a new home turned out to mean millions for the new homeowner I'm sure.

I looked through a couple pages of google, and didnt see any real news stories on this. Did find a page that showed the outside of the "barn"

After a bit of searching through some portuguese classic cars forums, i came up empty.

"Interclassicos" is the classic car trader who posted this finding on its webpage, but that has been removed, apparently because of too much speculation and pressure to reveal the location of the warehouse. I found a few more pictures including one outside where a tower was ready to take an Austin Cooper S (the reason for the opening of the warehouse, apparently).
The only explanation was (roughly translated):
"The owner of these cars is a collector who requested anonymity. They are all documented and were all bought in the 80s, and in the early 90s the warehouse was welded shut."
Anyway, i really doubt they're still there, since the finding was at least over a month ago...

Still impressive...

that's one big ass "barn". Notice how it was completly made out of cinder blocks. That's more of a warehouse then a "barn". Also aren't most barns made outta wood and metal? Or at least around Amish central they are

yea... i thought that "barn" was a little massive to "be hidden behind some trees," or to just "stumble upon it while exploring"

Holy shit! That's a lot of freakin cars. There was a similar story a while back, buy bought some land or something, and there was some tractor trailers on the property parked back to back or something like that. When he opened them, he found a ton of old chevys...classic Camaros and what not, some of them really rare.
