i hate the 1.8t motor(POS), nothing but problems! IMO the vr6 is one of the best sounding motors. :henry:

supercharged vr6>1.8t :paranoid:

Isn't it cheaper to buy/register a car in Vegas than So Cal?

The VR6 is essentially an I6 with the cylinder bores offset at 15°. It's only got one cylinder head.

Really... Some of the VF kits FocusSport sells for the Focus aren't bad. Only thing I don't like about them are that they're non-intercooled.

vf makes great kits, infact i used build the kits from scratch before they go out to customers while i was working there. :thumb:

nik the owner is on the more ''conservative side'' so his kits are geared more for reliablity than performance. funny thing is.... the whole 1+yrs i worked at vf i dont think we sold ONE fucus kit. WTF?

They're a nicely engineered kit. I've seen quite a few on different ones in SoCal but I don't think they sold as well for the Focus as some other kits. The JRSC makes about the same power and was usually cheaper and also sold by more companies (I can't even remember anyone besides FocusSport offering the VF kits and I'm not sure if they had an exclusive deal on them). If you wanted more power and and an intercoolerd kit there is the Vortech and PowerWorks kit (picture at the bottom of the post), which along with the JRSC are also all CARB EO certified unlike the VF. And the other kits also have versions for the SVT as well. Right now if you had a regular Zetec Focus the PowerWorks is the best deal going since it's on closeout for under $3k shipped and is intercooled and as close to OE as you're going to find in the aftermarket.

Maybe. Depends on what you want out of the car. The centrifugal blower will have an efficiency advantage and generally support more power up top but the Eaton/Roots type blowers have an extremely wide, instant torque response curve and some of the new twist rotor designs are a little closer to screw-type in efficiency.
