When someone mentions the worlds most expensive cars, most people think of your standard Ferrari's, Lambo's, Porche's and your occasional super exotic like the McLaren.

The cars on this list are so valuable not because they are high end automobiles but rather because they are rare collector items.

Rolls Royce still has one of their old Silver Ghost's from the early 1900's, worth around $40 million.

Edit: I believe it's the 1906 Silver Ghost

Must be nice to buy a car that expensive... I'm sure most buyers wont even think twice before dropping that kind of cash.
